Light Level: Indirect Sunlight

This plant needs to live in a room with at least some natural light. Place it on a table or countertop with windows nearby.

Water Level: Thirsty

This plant can only go 1-2 weeks without water so check on it weekly and add water every time the top two inches of soil dry out.

Plant Bio

Philodendron bipennifolium Aurea

Also called fiddleleaf philodendron or horsehead philodendron because of its leaf shape, this exotic tropical aroid is native to areas of South America. In its native habitat, the species grows up tree trunks (that’s actually where the name Philodendron comes from: Philo comes from the Greek word for love and dendron comes from the Greek word for tree). Despite its exotic origins, it grows in average household conditions. To keep it thriving, select a spot with bright, indirect light and water as the top 2 to 3 inches of the potting mix dries to the touch. Like many tropical plants, it prefers average to above-average relative humidity levels.
