Yesterday, today and tomorrow gets its unusual common name from the fact that its blooms open purple and change color every day depending on how long the flower has been open. The pansy-like flowers start out purple, then fade to lavender and on the third day the flower turns white. These tropical shrubs grow 4-8 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide. In the North, you can grow yesterday, today, and tomorrow as a beautiful tropical container garden plant.

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow enjoys part shade but can handle full sun if it gets enough moisture. During cold weather, the plant might die back. If this happens, simply cut away the dead branches and it should return in the spring. Feed with an all-purpose landscape fertilizer and never let the plant dry out completely.
