A sun lover, Blue fescue does best where it will receive at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sun a day. The plants are sensitive to wet soil so plant it in a well-drained location, otherwise the plants may rot. Blue fescue does best in regions of the country with cool summers.Use a light mulch to prevent weed competition around Blue fescue. Don't allow mulch to smother the crown of the plant.
