Geum (Geum)
Geum Plant Features
Heat up your early summer flower border with geum. Occasionally called avens, geum produces quantities of eye-popping red-orange flowers on tall, wiry stems. This rugged perennial is a snap to grow in almost any sunny location. Geum is also prized for its clumps of low, dark green leaves that add interest and color even when the plants are not in bloom. Geum grows 18 to 24 inches tall and the flowers will attract butterflies to your garden. The blooms also make good cut flowers. Hardy from zones 3-7.Geum Questions?

Geum Growing Instructions
Geum thrives in full sun, but can tolerate a little light shade. Soil type doesn't matter too much as long as the plants don't stand in water. Remove the faded flower heads as they appear to encourage new crops of flowers. Divide the plants every few years.Geum is not intended for human or animal consumption.
