Jungle Flame Plant Features
Jungle flame is one of the most common flowering shrubs you'll see in frost-free landscapes, such as those in South Florida. It's no wonder why! Jungle flame is an easy-to-grow shrub that blooms almost continuously through the year, producing hydrangea-like heads of red, yellow, orange, or pink flowers. The shrub stays relatively small, too -- making it perfect for planting along walkways, to hide the foundation of your home, or mixing in landscape beds with annual and perennials. Jungle Flame is hardy in Zone 10.Note: Many of the common jungle flame varieties are dwarf, but there are also larger types that can grow to 10 feet or more. Read the plant tag to ensure you're getting a variety that grows the right size for your space.

Jungle Flame Growing Instructions
Grow jungle flame in full sun or partial shade for best blooms. This flowering shrub tolerates shade, but won't bloom well if at all.Water jungle flame regularly, especially in extended periods of hot, dry weather. Once established, the plant is somewhat drought tolerant, but grows and blooms best when it's not allowed to wilt, especially in summer.
Because jungle flame is a slow-growing flowering shrub, you don't need to worry about pruning it a lot. If it does grow out of bounds, you can trim it any time of the year.
In landscapes with good soil, jungle flame doesn't typically need to be fertilized. If you have average or poor soil, fertilize this tropical shrub monthly in the growing season to keep it blooming and beautiful. When grown in containers, it does appreciate a regular supply of nutrients to keep producing healthy leaves and lovely flowers.
