A hot new variety of easy-care ZZ Plant, Chameleon is a low-maintenance houseplant you can practically set and forget! It features new leaves that emerge a bright shade of golden yellow before maturing to a rich, dark green. In between, they gracefully transition from gold to green, giving you a multicolor effect. Like other ZZ Plants, Chameleon holds up to infrequent watering, low humidity, and other challenging conditions. It is grown and shipped fresh from our farm direct to your front door.

Care

Light Level: Indirect Sunlight

This plant needs to live in a room with at least some natural light. Place it on a table or countertop with windows nearby.

Water Level: Not Thirsty

This plant can go several weeks without water. Only water it when the soil dries out completely and be careful not to over-water.

Quick Tips

While Chameleon tolerates low light, you’ll get more of the colorful new growth if you grow it in bright conditions. It’s very slow growing in low light.

We’re always on the lookout for easy-to-grow houseplants, so when our Plant Hunter found Chameleon (PP32,253P3), he was particularly excited. It stands out from other ZZ Plants thanks to the bright, golden-yellow color of its new growth. No matter what conditions you grow it in, the new leaves will always be showstoppers. Because ZZ Plants are slow growers and the leaves mature to the typical dark green as they age, we recommend growing Chameleon in bright light so you get to enjoy more colorful new growth.
