Plant Bio

Dieffenbachia Cool Beauty, USPP323,72P2

Bred in Japan in 2015 and patented by the breeder (so we have to tell you propagation is prohibited), Cool Beauty is a hybrid of Dieffenbachia Camille that features white leaf margins. It’s the first time our Plant Hunter has seen this type of variegation on a Camille-type plant.

As is the case with most Dieffenbachia varieties, it grows best within 3 to 4 feet of an east- or west-facing window (or the equivalent of, doing equally well under natural and artificial light). It prefers average household temperatures and average to above-average relative humidity levels (40 percent or more is ideal). Water as the top couple of inches so of the potting mix dries to the touch. Avoid letting it dry out.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.
